Portrait work.

The assignment was to take a portrait of a friend or family member that tells something about them. C is very creative and artistic... i was aiming for that. We set up a background, gave her some brushes and there you have it. (The painting was done by someone else, its just a prop).

My buddy/assistant set this up for me so i could get a shot for a magazine cover as a homework assignment. I went with a shot that could be for the magazine "Skin Deep" (A UK tattoo mag). G is a tattoo artist in Mildenhall Village (The Ink Spot) and actually works for this magazine as well. It was just fitting to pretend like i was doing a cover for them with his images. I liked them best in sepia, so that's what i've posted.'

These shots are some of my favorite from the session. It was actually one of my first full sessions with using the new strobes and the new lens. I am pretty happy to say that things all worked out. I am feeling more comfortable with using the strobes, so that is really exciting too!

I have a slight obsession with this set of legs, and this brand of shoes.

Its clear to me now, these legs and this brand of shoes have become one of my favorite subjects to shoot these days. But i really enjoy these results, and dont think we'll stop. Its developing into a nice series i think, and i can't wait to see the next concept that we pull off.
